Available seats at Monona Terrace
A certain number of seats must be held each year for speakers, discussants, travel award winners and the media. The number varies, but generally runs between 110 and 115, leaving about 200 seats available for general attendance at Monona Terrace. Because we believe that the Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion continues to benefit from the synergy of broad national and international institutional representation and a relatively small audience size, approximately one-half of the open seats are allocated for non-UW general attendees and approximately one-half for UW-affiliated general attendees in affective neuroscience and related programs. However, we are again planning to offer the option of attending a remote simulcast of the entire meeting at the Pyle Center on campus if it appears
that demand warrants. Last year’s simulcast at the Pyle Center proved very successful and popular among participants, both those from the UW and non-UW registrants who would otherwise have been unable to participate in the symposium. Given its convenient on-campus location, the Pyle Center may in fact be a more desirable option for some UW faculty, staff and students, especially those with class commitments or other conflicts overlapping with symposium time slots. There will be a significantly reduced registration fee
to attend the Pyle Center simulcast. For additional information and
registration instructions for the Pyle Center simulcast, please see the
Remote Simulcast page.
To Request Registration
Registration Request Forms must be submitted on-line directly from the 2007 Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion Web site. The process is quick and easy.
Registration Request Confirmation
Though we hope to register as many individuals who wish to attend as possible, please note that submission of a registration request does not automatically guarantee a registration. Persons submitting a registration request will be notified via email if seats are still available and if so will be directed to a web link to complete their registration. Once capacity has been reached, a waitlist will be started and persons requesting registration will be notified that they have been added to the waitlist. Those who are waitlisted may wish to register for the Pyle Center simulcast, as noted above. They will still be given the option of moving to Monona Terrace should a seat open up.
Moving from Waitlist to Registration
If openings develop, individuals on the waitlist will be contacted. If no longer able to attend, others on the waitlist will be offered the opening until filled.

Registration fee includes attendance both days, all symposium materials,
lunch each day, morning and afternoon breaks on Thursday and a morning break on Friday.
